Every World Cup

Brazil has appeared in every FIFA world cup – men's or women's.

Brazil is the only country that has appeared in the finals tournament of every FIFA World Cup (which is the official title of the men's tournament). They've won it five times, to date: in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002.

Seven countries have appeared in the finals tournament of every FIFA Women's World Cup: Brazil, Germany, Japan, Nigeria, Norway, Sweden and the USA. Brazil's best performance was in 2007, when they were runners-up; they also finished third in 1999.

England have appeared in 15 of the 21 FIFA (Men's) World Cup finals tournaments. They didn't enter in 1930, 1934 or 1938, and they failed to qualify in 1974, 1978 or 1994.

Scotland have appeared in eight (most recently in 1998), Wales in one (1958), Northern Ireland in three (1958, 1982 and 1986), and the Republic of Ireland also in three (1990, 1994 and 2002).

England have appeared in four of the seven FIFA Women's World Cups: 1995, 2007, 2011 and 2015. They failed to qualify in 1991, 1999 and 2003; their best performance was in 2015 when they finished third.
